Had a great experience at Vasara Yokohama! We were a group of 6 women and they were able to get us all in and help us choose yukatas, the accessories, get dressed, and do our hair. All the staff was so kind and helpful. The shoes were too small for our feet (except for our one asian friend of course) so we hobbled slowly to a nearby shrine and took tons of pictures. It was super hot so we only rented them for a few hours but it was totally worth it and would do it again in a heartbeat! I'll be back to try the kimono!
Vasara has two stores near Yokohama station, but only this location has children's yukata. I booked an appointment online. Although the website is a bit hard to navigate for foreigners, the rest of the process went smoothly. The staff was very friendly, and she was able to communicate with us using English. The children's yukata patterns are mostly flowers with Disney characters. They only have 1-2 patterns for different height groups. The selection is a bit limited, but my kids like the pattern. The staff provided basic hairdo with no additional charge. Overall, a very good experience. Thank you!
